"I don't have much experience in purchasing homes or refinancing, but the little experience I do have tells me getting a loan can either be smooth or painful. 3 years ago I bought a house and recently refinanced it. The loan officer was not responsive and caused us to move back the settlement 3 or 4 times because he was not ready with the necessary documents.
